Spring is slowly waking us all up here at Honey Blossoms Farm, and every day something new seems to be emerging.

The tulips are beginning to push through the soil, and the honeybees are getting out and about again, busy exploring the early blooms and reminding me that the growing season is truly beginning.

Spring on the farm always feels full of possibility.

🌱 From the Greenhouse

This year I’ve jumped all in on a new seed starting setup using a paperpot system.

After researching it quite a bit, I decided to invest in the trays and tools and give it a try. Learning how to use all the gadgets and trays has definitely been an adventure! But it’s exciting to see rows of tiny seedlings beginning their journey toward becoming summer flowers.

At the same time, I’m learning how to manage my new greenhouse, which has been a bit of a learning curve. Regulating the temperature when the weather swings between cold nights and warm sunny days keeps me on my toes.

Every day brings something new to figure out, but that’s part of the joy of growing — both the flowers and the farm.

🌷 What’s Growing on the Farm

Out in the garden beds, things are beginning to wake up.

• Tulips are emerging
• Daffodils are blooming
• Ranunculus is just starting to peek through the soil
• Snapdragons and campanula planted last fall are starting to size up

I’m especially excited to see how the second-year peonies perform this year. Peonies take patience, but they’re always worth the wait.

And of course… dahlia season will be here before we know it.

There is still so much to plant and prepare for spring and summer, but I’m excited to meet the challenge and see what this next season brings.

🌼 Coming Soon: Cut Flower Garden Kits

One thing I’m especially excited about this year is something new for those who love to grow flowers themselves.

I’m planning to offer a very limited release of curated cut flower garden kits.

These will include young seedlings ready to plant, selected specifically for cut-and-come-again summer flowers and foilage, so you can grow your own bouquet garden at home.

If everything stays on schedule, these should be ready just in time for Mother’s Day weekend.

🚚 Livvy the Flower Truck Update

Behind the scenes, Livvy the Honey Blossoms Flower Truck is getting her makeover.

We’ve been working on the wood displays and planning the details that will give her that charming little European flower market feel I’ve been dreaming about.

I recently met with the awning team and painting crew to start planning the colors and look, and I can’t wait to see everything come together.

Soon she’ll be out around town full of flowers and ready for gatherings.

🍀 This Weekend: St. Patrick’s Day Flower Truck Pop-Up

🌿 A Season on the Farm

Spring on a flower farm always feels a little bit like starting over.

There are trays of tiny seedlings just beginning their journey, beds waking up after winter, and so many plans for what the coming season might bring.

Some things work exactly as expected, and some things are a learning curve — like figuring out the new greenhouse and seed starting system this year.

But that’s part of the beauty of growing.

Each season builds on the last. The peonies planted with patience, the dahlias waiting for warm soil, the bees returning to the garden, and the rows of seedlings that will one day become bouquets for you to enjoy (and me too).

There’s still so much to plant and prepare, but it’s the kind of busy that comes with excitement.

And I’m grateful to share the season with all of you.

🌸 Thank You for Being Part of the Farm

Spring is always a season of possibility here at Honey Blossoms Farm.

There is a lot of planting ahead and plenty of learning along the way, but I’m excited to share the journey as everything begins to grow.

Thank you for following along and supporting the farm.
